I think it means that others treat white girls like they're incapable of doing things everyone else has to do, so they give them special priviledges or special treatment. An example is how Junior thinks that he has to treat Penelope different since she's white. He thinks that he has do do different things to make her love him.

I think it means that their life seems so perfect, but in many ways its not as perfect as it seems. They seem to get everything they want. Penelope is a good example she seems so perfect, but she is Bulimic and no one would have guessed that.
